Who or what is Chawky White? No, he’s not a character on Boardwalk Empire – that’s Chalky White. Although, we are big fans of Michael Kenneth Williams and Steve Buscemi. Chawky is actually a new super group featuring producer Ill Tal on the beats. This is actually my 4th rap group if you count my failed attempts in my teens and twenties with The Grimiez, Lost Souls and Inner Circle (not to be confused with the Reggae group who made “Bad Boys”).

So who’s in Chawky White? No idea. We all wear masks – some real “Eyes Wide Shut” sh#t, minus the orgy. Could be Nas and Big Daddy Kane for all I know, but probably not.

What do we stand for? REAL Hip-Hop. We’re not backpackers, we’re not underground, we’re not emo, we’re not party. Chawky White is all about having fun, dope beats, and not caring what you think. Think Biz Markie, Prince Paul, De La Soul, Beastie Boys.
